Maturation of cytoplasmic tRNAs includes splicing of introns, which are located 1 nucleotide 3-prime from the anticodon in all intron-containing tRNA genes. In tRNA-leu (CAA), the first position of the anticodon, C34, is converted to 5-methylcytosine, a modification necessary to stabilize the anticodon-codon pairing and correctly translate the mRNA. NSUN2 antibody can be used for detection of NSUN2 by ELISA at 1:62500. NSUN2 antibody can be used for detection of NSUN2 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.

Antibody is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.

Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.

Aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
